Lichfield Arts Volunteer Code Of Conduct
Purpose of This Code is:
To contribute towards a constructive, positive and pleasant atmosphere during all our concerts and events.
To ensure that all volunteers know what behaviour they have a right to expect from other volunteers.
To ensure that all volunteers know what behaviour is expected of them whilst volunteering for Lichfield Arts.
Respect for Others …. Volunteers will:
Treat other people fairly and equally.
Not discriminate unlawfully against any person.
Allow others to express themselves and understand that all views are important.
Address all issues or concerns regarding the work of other volunteers to the Chief Steward or the event Director/Project Manager.
Equal Opportunities ……. Volunteers will:
Understand, respect and work at all times without prejudice to race, age, ethnic origins, disability, gender, physical and mental health, religion, sexuality or cultural background.
Understand that all forms of discrimination, including bullying and harassment are unacceptable.
Perform all duties with honesty, integrity, impartiality, objectivity and a positive attitude.
Volunteers should:
Be praised where and when it is due.
Listen to and adhere to the Chief Steward’s and/or Project Managers instructions.
Communicate respectfully with all volunteers whether verbally, written or through electronic media.
Be patient with other volunteers and customers.
Ask the Chief Steward if in doubt about any of the instructions – as many times as is needed.
